The PU coating ensures the fabric is waterproof. It weighs 270 g\/m\u00b2. This fabric is made in Asia, and the yarn is solution-dyed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pros&nbsp;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lightweight, easy to fold, and affordable. Idea for people who use the cover while towing and who usually store their boat in a garage or shed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cons&nbsp;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Limited lifespan&nbsp;; this type of cover should not be left outdoors under snow or frost in winter. In the sun, it tends to fade and lose color. Over time, the treated fabric becomes less and less waterproof.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Weight&nbsp;: 270 g\/m\u00b2<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PU coating (polyurethane)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">600 D<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This fabric no longer shows the typical \u00ab&nbsp;reinforcement grid&nbsp;\u00bb of ripstop, yet its resistance to tearing, abrasion, and fading is slighty superior to ripstop. The yarn is solution-dyed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"227\" height=\"147\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nenuphar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/image-17.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19892\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nenuphar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/image-17.png 227w, https:\/\/www.nenuphar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/image-17-18x12.png 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 227px) 100vw, 227px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>PVC-Coated Polyester<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A \u00ab&nbsp;tarp-style&nbsp;\u00bb fabric, made from 550 dtex\/1100 dtex polyester base with PVC coating on the outer side, ensuring perfect waterproofing and making it very easy to clean with a sponge. It weighs 520 g\/m\u00b2. This fabric is made in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pros&nbsp;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Very durable over time, much more suitable for boats that stay outdoors year-round. Highly appreciated for its easy cleaning and long lifespan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cons&nbsp;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More expensive than ripstop, heavier and bulkier&nbsp;: less convenient to fold and store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"226\" height=\"145\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nenuphar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/image-18.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19893\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nenuphar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/image-18.png 226w, https:\/\/www.nenuphar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/image-18-18x12.png 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 226px) 100vw, 226px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Poly\/Coton<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A fabric composed of 50% cotton and 50% polyester, solution-dyed, waterproof and rotproof, weighing 430 g\/m\u00b2. This canvas provides excellent comfort under the cover and greatly reduces the risk of interior condensation because it is breathable. It always stays nicely taut, with good tear and abrasion resistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For seaside use, it should be rinsed regularly to maintain UV resistance. This fabric is made in France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pros&nbsp;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Appreciated for its breathability (less condensation under the cover), durability, aesthetics, and ease of use.
