The ISAF Council and the Racing Rules Committee at their meeting last week decided to defer the introduction of RRS 40.2 to 1 January 2009.
The Racing Rule Committee felt strongly that when advising national authorities, classes, etc of the deferring of the taking effect of Rule 40.2, information about the problem concerning safety, including educational material, be published.
