Description
Overview
The complete Opt’Easy Optimist is our rugged, maintenance-free version of the Optimist—the classic dinghy for learning to sail. It features a multi-layer polyethylene hull manufactured by RPI, a renowned kayak specialist; the hull easily withstands impacts against docks and the heavy handling typical of a sailing school fleet. The rig, sail, and fittings are manufactured in France by NENUPHAR—a real advantage when a replacement part is needed.
A hull built for sailing schools
- – 3 built-in carrying handles (1 at the bow, 2 at the stern) for easy handling, even by younger crew
- – Self-draining cockpit with 3 holes in the transom: any water on board drains straight back out
- – Polyethylene bow: no maintenance, no repainting needed each season

Equipment supplied

Customisation
The Opt’Easy is easily customized, just like most of the parts we manufacture ourselves: sail color, club or municipal logo applied to the sail, laser engraving on the rudder, and hull color (for orders of 10 units or more).
