Overview
The complete Opt’Easy Optimist is our rugged, maintenance-free version of the Optimist—the classic dinghy for learning to sail. It features a multi-layer polyethylene hull manufactured by RPI, a renowned kayak specialist; the hull easily withstands impacts against docks and the heavy handling typical of a sailing school fleet. The rig, sail, and fittings are manufactured in France by NENUPHAR—a real advantage when a replacement part is needed.
A hull built for sailing schools
- – 3 built-in carrying handles (1 at the bow, 2 at the stern) for easy handling, even by younger crew
- – Self-draining cockpit with 3 holes in the transom: any water on board drains straight back out
- – Polyethylene bow: no maintenance, no repainting needed each season

Customisation
The Opt’Easy is easily customized, just like most of the parts we manufacture ourselves: sail color, club or municipal logo applied to the sail, laser engraving on the rudder, and hull color (for orders of 10 units or more). Have another idea in mind? Let us know, and we’ll see what’s possible.
