Designed to reduce weight while increasing strength and functionality, the new system features a round pin that allows the boom to pivot in the direction of the load. The new pin is longer and includes an exclusive gooseneck locking system that keeps it securely seated in the boom. Once snapped into place, the boom will not fall off the gooseneck when lowering the mainsail, protecting the crew from injury and preventing damage to the deck. This locking system is also useful when using a boom cover that fits over the boom.
